Big Dreamer

So, I have this problem. It goes hand in hand with being a fixer but this is a problem. I dream scenarios. You see, I have a 13 year old step-son. As with all teenagers certain things break loose in a different realm and life as we know it is turned upside down till they move out and get married. So, I had these grandiose dreams. He would come in to our house, I would ask him to sit down and I would say something so profound and wonderful that all the hatred stored up in him towards me would melt away, we would be crying and hugging and.....well, you get the idea.
Reality:
Step-son comes home
"Hi" I say
"Hi' He says
"How was your day?"
"Good"
The End.
Well, So much for my grandiose dream.
